What a wonderful turn of a phrase and guaranteed to bring a smile to most knowing faces. There is nothing like the promise of spring training to bring out the optimist in most baseball fans. Tomorrow is reporting day for most clubs with the 1st workouts scheduled for Thursday.... and before we know it, opening day will be within spitting distance.
As far as the Yankees are concerned, Bernie Williams' absence is the big story right now but I think we can all agree that Carl Pavano's 1st spring injury will quickly overshadow that. The question is....will the injury occur during workouts, scrimmage, inter-squad games or an actual spring game? Let's be clear.... it is not if....it's when with this guy.

My bet is hamstring because I don't recall him having that injury as yet.
